What happens when you pause sharing
All links to the upload go offline
Pausing takes the preview and direct file links offline, including named addresses and custom domains. Visitors see a not-found page.
Your files stay stored
Flat keeps your files, connected domains, and password settings. Restore access without uploading again.
How to pause and restore a shared link
Find your upload's ID in the dashboard and use it in the commands below.

Pause access
Stop new access while keeping the files and their settings.

Restore access
Make your files available at the same links again.
npx -y @getflat/cli deployment update DEPLOYMENT_ID --enable
Pause-sharing questions
How do I check whether sharing is paused?
Run npx -y @getflat/cli deployment list. A paused upload shows DISABLED yes. After you restore access, it shows no.
Will the password still work after restoring access?
Yes. Pausing keeps the password settings and existing visitor sessions. You can change the password separately.
Pause a link you've already shared.
Find the upload in your dashboard, then use its ID in the pause command.
